Trivallis, one of the largest registered social landlords in Wales, oversees more than 10,000 properties in Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff Bay. Committed to ensuring safe and comfortable living environments, Trivallis, with the expert support of Sureserve Compliance Fire, initiated a significant project to retrofit a residential sprinkler system into an existing high assisted living complex in South Wales. 

This project, running from August 2024 to March 2025, enhanced resident life safety by installing a modern sprinkler system. Trivallis, together with Sureserve Compliance Fire, who shared the same values and commitment to safety and community well-being, focused on improving the quality of life for its residents through effective solutions.

To achieve the goal of enhancing resident safety, the Sureserve Compliance Fire team conducted a thorough assessment of the building to determine the optimal locations for the sprinkler system components. This included identifying a suitable location for the water supply tank that would not obstruct views from the windows or take up garden space. 

Ensuring Minimal Disruption for Residents 

The project aimed to ensure that the installation process was minimally disruptive to the residents while maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of the living complex. The Sureserve Compliance Fire team was flexible with dates and times, ensuring that the installation caused as little inconvenience as possible. This thoughtful approach helped foster cooperation and support from the residents. By accommodating their needs and treating them with respect, the team built positive relationships, making the residents more inclined to assist and cooperate throughout the installation process.
