Sureserve Energy Services Meters moves to historic Victoria Mills in West Vale

Office relocation

Sureserve Energy Services Meters is proud to announce its relocation to the beautifully restored Victoria Mills in West Vale, bringing new energy to a treasured part of the town’s industrial heritage.

Originally founded in the 1850s as a room and power mill and transformed into a cotton-spinning mill by 1895, Victoria Mills remains a proud symbol of West Vale’s and Yorkshire’s wider industrial roots.

The move, which will see over 80 employees relocate into the newly refurbished space, reflects Sureserve’s wider ambition to retrofit and regenerate existing buildings, breathing new life into heritage properties while supporting environmental sustainability and the drive towards a more energy-efficient future, as well as contributing to economic growth in local communities.

The relocation was celebrated with an official opening event on 16th June, attended by colleagues, partners, and local dignitaries, including Mayor & Mayoress of Calderdale, local business leaders, and community figures

Guests had the chance to tour the newly designed workspace and learn more about the company’s plans for continued investment in the region.

Colin Laidlaw, Managing Director at Sureserve Energy Services Meters said,

“We are excited to be moving into West Vale and into such an iconic and historic building. Victoria Mills is a fantastic space for our growing team, and we’re proud to contribute to the local economy while honouring the town’s industrial heritage.

This move reflects our commitment to regeneration and sustainability, which are values at the heart of Sureserve’s mission. We’re looking forward to becoming part of the local business community and building new relationships as we continue to grow”.
