Sureserve and RoSPA Social Housing Fall Awareness Month
18th June - 18th July 2025
People living in social housing are 13 times more likely to suffer an accident.
Sureserve is proud to launch Social Housing Falls Awareness Month, running from 18th June to 18th July, in partnership with RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents). Together, we’re shining a spotlight on the serious impact of falls in social housing, and how we can all play a part in preventing them.
Falls can affect anyone, but for older adults, they’re more frequent and often more severe. Each year, falls lead to hundreds of thousands of hospital admissions and remain the leading cause of accidental injury in the home. The consequences for individuals, families, and communities are profound.

Safer homes, stronger communities. Join the falls prevention movement
Each year, falls lead to hundreds of thousands of hospital admissions and remain the leading cause of accidental injuries in the home. The impact on individuals, families, and communities is significant.
With Sureserve visiting 1 in 5 homes across England every year, we’re using our reach to make a real difference. This year, we’re equipping our engineers with the tools to identify early warning signs of fall risks through dedicated toolbox talks, helping to protect residents and promote safer, healthier living environments.
We’re also inviting housing professionals, providers, and partners to get involved. Complete the training, share your badge, and make your pledge. Whether it’s raising awareness, engaging residents, or driving change within your organisation. Every pledge brings us one step closer to safer homes.
Let’s work together to reduce falls, protect our communities, and build a safer future for everyone.
